Sorry for this picture which is out of order. I wanted you to see the guys who played Risk after we had dinner.

It is Thanksgiving Day, and we are grateful for so much. Grateful for each other, and every one of our children and grandchildren. For our parents, and brothers and sisiters. We are so thankful that we were able to all spend the day together. We are also grateful for this great land and the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints.

Everyone made a pie, which is a little ridiculous, because there was too much, but it was fun to have a little sample of each. Rebecca made the double crusted Harvest Fruit and Nut pie, Lindsay made the cherry crumb pie with the little bird peaking out, Kimalee made the pumpkin pie and I made the pecan pie.

Everyone made a pie, which is a little ridiculous, because there was too much, but it was fun to have a little sample of each. Rebecca found a really different recipe for the turkey this year. It was a brine made of 32 cups of water, 5 cups of chicken broth, a bunch of fresh sage, fresh thyme, a cup of honey, half a cup of salt, a lot of pepper, and you put the turkey in a turkey bag, in a stock pot, and fill the bag with the brine. Then you let it marinate for 12 or more hours. When it is time to bake, you take the turkey out of the marinade and the bag, rub it with olive oil and salt and pepper, and cut two lemons in half, squeeze the juice inside the cavity, and put the rest of the lemons in the cavity as well. It was the moistest turkey we ever tasted. Everyone was amazed. No dry turkey this year!

When dinner was done, we retired downstairs. The boys sat down for a loooong game of Risk. Sean was the first one out, then Dave.

The girls and the children sat in the theater room and watched the movie "Clifford" with Martin Short. It was great until the end when Uncle Martin is so angry at Clifford, that he goes wild at Dinosaur Land. Bridger was slightly traumatized. The place caught fire, and the dinosaur was falling apart........Then we composed ourselves and played "Rock Band".

It's funny how nobody can resist kissing Kennedy! And that turkey really was good--it's a keeper.
WOW. What a great Thanksgiving that you all had! Your table was so pretty and tee turkey looked amazing. I sure it was a day of great memories for you!
