What were you doing six years ago?

I woke up this morning and had this vivid memory of Hallowe'en six years ago. It was strange, it was such a strong memory which doesn't happen to me that often anymore! It is incredible what a difference six years can make in your life.
You can click on the picture and read the writing. I don't know where Addison and Jordan were, maybe they were working.
I didn't have any hair at the time, and the pink wig stayed on my head really well.
Ricky is wearing my wig and he looks a little like Conway Twitty. We sure had a lot of fun that night. Thanks Nielson family.

Celebrating Hallowe'en at Exercise Class

We had so much fun at exercise class this morning! It was at 5:45 a.m., and we all dressed up in our hallowe'en costumes.

Here are Hans and Frans, and a spiderwoman between them!

Here I am with Pam and Lauri

Gina is Catwoman, and her daughter Cortny is a blind referee. Richard Simmons is talking to her. I was hoping someone would dress up as Richard Simmons!

Julie and Annika

Diane brought bagels and cream cheese, and her Daughter April who was dressed up as a sweettart.

Steve and Cyndi were the funniest of all. Steve was dressed up as Sherrie's dad (30 years ago) and Cyndi was dressed up as her mom. That was a surprise to Sherrie, who dressed up as Nacho Libre.

Here's the whole bunch of us! Sherrie (in the red cape) choreographed the steps to Michael Jackson's Thriller. We had such a great time, it was a Hallowe'en to remember.

kick, step, one, two , three.....

Sherrie brought Sunny D's for everyone to drink, and granola bars and some chocolate. Heidi brought some really good pumpkin bars.

Who is this guy????????

I did it again with the sideways pictures. Does this guy remind you of someone? Check out the shirt. .......
Look at the tilt of the head......

The stance........

He isn't quite as tall as 6'6" to let the shirt tails hang out, they are too long. The Only difference is, our guy would not really have worn running shoes.......

Can you guess who he looks like? Our guy who is in South Africa? You bet!

Regional Band Competition

Sorry, I have tried and tried to rotate these photos clockwise, so you'll have to turn your heads to look at them. This is Sean in his band uniform at Bingham High School's football field. Lindsay and the kids picked us up at the airport, and we ate dinner at the house and went straight to the competition.

Jeremy met us there. It was cold, but not freezing. Heh Bridger, I like the South Jordan Hat.
Jordan cozied with Kennedy. She looks really snuggly, with just one eye peeking out.

Cute Kennedy with the luscious kissable cheeks, and plump lips!

Kim enjoyed holding Kennedy also. Kim's parents and her sister Ashley were sitting in the stands. Kim's sister Kari and brother Christian, are twins, and they are in the band.

The Three Musketeers.
Trevor, Sean and Zach

I zoomed in to get Sean. I had to look hard for the gold trumpet. I focused in on him, so hopefully you can pick him out. Kim's sister Kari (I'm not sure if I spelled her name correctly) is the petite girl in the color guard with the blonde/red hair. Trevor plays the tuba and Zach plays the baritone.

Hallowe'en

The Nielsons, Jeremy's parents, had their annual Hallowe'en party. They invited me and I had my picture taken with Bridger the fireman and Kennedy the ballerina. Lindsay made Kennedy's little tutu and it was so cute.

The Alligator Farm

This was the vulture area, and it looked like they were eating a zebra carcass. After furthur investigating, it isn't a real zebra, and the zoo keepers put the food inside the zebra for the vultures!
Sean, do something to save Vanessa!!!

This is the alligator farm entrance.
This is a rare white alligator that was discovered in Louisiana.
Here's a huge one.
Here is a tortoise that weighs up to 600 pounds and lives to 150 to 200 years old. They were mating when we walked by. What was funny though, was watching people's reactions. Vanessa said it was better than watching Animal Planet. Ha ha ha!

Beautiful birds. He knew he was beautiful too. He posed for us.

These videos are for you Bridger. There were lots of fences around the alligators, so they couldn't get out. We were safe. The middle alligator is eating flies and if you look closely, you might see some ants in his mouth. When you visit Florida this summer, we should visit this Alligator Farm. You would really like it. Alligators are interesting animals.

The Beach

It was a beautiful day at the Atlantic Ocean. The waves were really strong because it was windy.
A typical Vanessa face!

This sort of captures the beauty of the day.

St. Augustine, Florida

St. Augustine is the oldest town in the United States. It was discovered by Ponce de Leon, a Spaniard. This beautiful building is a college which is in the middle of the historical area.
More of the college.
This is part of the campus.
Vanessa had to get a picture of this restaurant's sign, Gone With the Wind is one of her favorite movies.
A man walking by volunteered to take our picture so we could be together in the shot, but he forgot to tell his wife to move...

Wonderworks

We have driven by this building before and wondered what it was....As you can see, the building is upside down. When you walk by it, you can hear creaking sounds.... We decided to investigate. It is an interactive museum with so many fun things to do.
Vanessa is getting loopy being an astronaut.

There was an illusion mirror and we had so much fun making funny faces.

This one is my favorite! I bet it's yours too.

Seaworld

We saw sharks, sea lions, barricudas, and Ricky and Vanessa touched a stingray. Lots of pirates and pumpkins because it was the Boo Spooktacular for trick or treating children.

Here we are at Seaworld. The last time Ricky and I were here, was about 21 years ago, and I was pregnant with Addison, Jordan was 1 l/2, Lindsay was 5, and Rebecca was 6. The weather was so warm, and there weren't that many people.
We watched the dolphin show, and there were acrobats dressed as birds, who would fly through the air and dive into the water with the dolphins. It was very spectacular. We sat in the soak zone and were afraid about getting Vanessa's camera wet, so this is the only shot we took. It turns out that we never got splashed anyway.

This is the Shamu show. "Shampoo" as Bridger calls him. I really did get goose bumps being that close and seeing the majesty of these beautiful mammals. Again we sat in the Soak Zone and didn't get as much as a drop of water on us! This picture is taken from a distance with the zoom lense, as one of the killer whales was preparing for the show.

Marching Band

Friday night, we went to Westport High School and watched the half time show at the football game. It is a potential high school for Sean, out of three that we are looking at. Their presentation is pretty good. Their show is called River Dance. This is just a little clip.

At the Orlando airport

We went to the Orlando airport, which is an hour and 15 minute drive, to pick up Sean who flew in from Salt Lake City. Here he is walking past the glass window, off the train shuttle. He changed planes in Chicago and didn't have any trouble changing terminals. He is defianately growing up!
Believe it or not, this is a scupture tiltled "The Traveler". It looks like a real man but it isn't.
Vanessa and I with Snow White. Vanessa looks like she doesn't like Snow White....
We went to dinner here in Orlando. We all had way too much to eat....Ricky had ribs, I had paella, Vanessa had wings, and Sean had a burger.
We took a wrong turn on the highway and returned to Ocala on a road that had lots of traffic lights. It took us longer but was fun to see the different sights and we saved about $10 we would have spent on tolls. We saw gas for as cheap as $2.62 per gallon.
