Sewing and Magnolias

Ricky picked these beautiful magnolias from our yard. The scent is overwhelmingly delicious. Just like perfume.

I love magnolia trees. The tops of the leaves are green and the bottoms are always brown.

I made this purse the other day. It was easy and really quick. It has a magnetic snap which is made of soft plastic and sews right on, it is on the inside which is completely lined.

I made these little pants for Kennedy. I showed the back view because the pockets are so cute. Since my "comforts of home" blocks are all caught up, I am able to work on other projects.

Well, am off to a polo match today in my "spring attire". That is what the invitation said. It also says to wear a hat. I will try and get some good pictures to post later. Stay tuned......

How darling. Kennedy will look adorable. I love the purse too. I sure wish I knew how to do that. I would love to make one for Brinkley, and I've always wanted one for myself. I've been looking for a new purse, but I hate to spend so much money to get a cute one, and then I need a place for my cell phone, etc... Maybe someday we'll live close enough and I can take sewing lessons from you. Brinkley is actually taking a sewing class from a great lady in our ward. She loves it. I wish I was a better mom and I could teach her. I love all the quilting too...I need to learn!

That's the same pattern I'm using for Mia. I've had allot of material left over from quilts. I've made 3 with 2 more to do.

It sounds like you need to make all your daughters a purse.
