There is the chapel. We had to walk across Decarie Expressway, which is equivalent to an interstate.
The walk wasn't bad, but if it were raining or snowy or freezing, it would be another story.
We took the bus to the end of the line, Villa Maria. About a 20 minute ride. There it goes...
Thought this was interesting........
I see the church, haven't seen one just like that before.
It is a two storey building.
The Montreal Ward meets here, and the Chinese Branch.
It was a very International ward, all seven continents were represented.
I spoke to a young boy who prepared the Sacrament all by himself. I told him what a good job he did, because he really did!!! He said his family moved to Montreal from Brazil when he was younger, because there was so much violence and not a good life anymore.
One of the gentleman who gave a talk, was asked to speak on marriage. He was American, from the south. He said when he was 25 years old, he and his buddies decided to move to Montreal. He met a beautiful woman who later became his wife. He has been married for 37 years. He kept breaking into song during the talk, one of the phrases he sang was "My Mama told me, you better shop around." It was an interesting day : )

Sounds like an interesting ward! And I think it's so funny when people break into song while giving a talk--doesn't happen a lot here, but I remeber a lot of Garth Brooks in Fl...
I've never heard of breaking into song before during a talk. That is really interesting. We must be sheltered here in Utah. Thanks for sharing!
