Lucy's Home

On Sunday, Mom and I went to Artemis and Lucy's home for dinner.  We have known them since we joined the church, over 30 years ago.   Lucy made all the needle points on the wall when her children were little.  Lucy and Artemis grew up in Greece.
Lucy made a scrumptious Greek feast for us!
 Greek salad with kalamati olives
 Greek potato salad
The oval shaped things are called Dolmades.  They are graped leaves filled with a rice mixture and soaked in olive oil.  The little fishies are fresh anchovies that have been baked or fried.  I took one because I love the flavor of anchovies, but as hard as I tried, I couldn't pop the whole thing into my mouth.  They still had their heads and tails.........The pink stuff is fish eggs mixed with mashed potato.  It has a name, but I forget!
 Cheese pie with phyllo dough
Alexander, Lucy and Artemis, our gracious hosts.
Baklava with pistachios instead of walnuts

Mom, Me and Lucy
When Mom moved away from Montreal years ago, she gave Lucy one of her house plants.  After being cut back a few times, it is still thriving!  Lucy definately has a green thumb.

That looks really amazing! I bet the food was delicious--except the anchovies, I couldn't eat those either. IF it has a face....
