My son will be home from his church mission in South Africa tomorrow. I haven't seen him in 2 years! A lot of preparations for his homecoming today.
I took some of his clothes that were packed away and washed them and pressed his shirts.
Then, I got the quilt I made him out of storage and washed it and the bed linens. I tried to make the room look homey so he will feel more comfortable than if I didn't make it homey???
Of course I had to clean the house.........
I made a batch of his favorite cookies, LaVena Nuzman's humongous oatmeal cookies.
I got the yellow stuff ready to decorate the outside of the house. There's so much fresh snow that I don't know if the plates will show on the lawn.

I still have to buy some groceries, and buy posterboard for posters at the airport, and buy banner paper for the front of the house, saying: "Welcome Home Elder Horst". Let me see......have I missed anything? Oh yes, very important! Pick up my husband at the airport tonight at 10:00. Stay tuned..............

I remember this well, I'm so excited for you. The first thing that Dallin did when he came in the door, he looked down at the carpet in the living room and he layed down on it and said, "oh, this is so nice, we must be rich".
