Festival of Trees

My friend Jeannie Luebbers and I, went to the Festival of Trees on Friday. A lot of the trees are created in memory of a loved one, and they are all auctioned off and the money is donated to Primary Children's Hospital. I don't know how many trees there are, but the huge expo center is brimming with beautifully decorated trees. This tree was designed by Trevor Uptain, Sean's good friend. Sean helped him set it up on Monday. It sold for over $2000.00. Trevor got autographed books, CD's, DVD's, basketballs, photos, all of famous people. I was amazed to see some of the celebrities he heard back from. You can click on the photos to enlarge them and see for yourself all the autographs he received. Trevor did this for his Boy Scout Eagle project. His court of honor is planned for March and unfortunately, we won't be here.

This tree is made of blown glass.

This is a Lacrosse tree, and I took it for Vanessa, because she played Lacrosse in Middle School and High School and loves to play.

The colors and shapes really appealed to me in this colorful tree. It is a very happy tree, don't you think?

This tree caught my eye also.

This tree looks good enough to eat. Not really, but it could be a little girl's dream. I think it was created in memory of a little 3 year old girl who passed away.
