Finished!

It has been two years in the making, but my "Comforts of Home" quilt is finally finished
I just love how the machine quilting accentuates all of the applique. Thanks Cindy, for your creativity.
The poem brings back a lot of memories for me.
See the quilting from the back?
I love the flower quilting around each circle, and the buttercup yellow rick rack around the entire edge of the quilt.

I'm not sure which wall I am going to hang this quilt on, maybe in my bedroom so I can admire it all the time.  This quilt reminds me of growing up and especially the time when I was a young mom with babes of my own.
My next "Lori Holt" quilt is "Paperdolls".  I have named them Rebecca Louise and Lindsay Leigh.  I am currently embroidering them and will show you when I get that block completed.

This is a stunning quilt. I have always wanted to make it. The poem on the back is very tender. Thank you for posting your quilt. I really enjoyed visiting your blog and being inspired by your family and your creativity.

That's beautiful Cindy. I wish I thought that I could accomplish that. Maybe I'd have to take a class at Material Girls for one. I saw Louri Holts Paperdolls quilt. That has sooooo many memories for me. I love paperdolls, and I'm always looking for them. Maybe I should do that one.

Why did you move away?????
