My Darling Grandaughters

Sorry, no photos of my grandaughters, just lots of time thinking about them.  I sorted through my fabric and found enough fabric to make Kennedy, Charlotte and Maisie, matching dresses.  Here they are, hanging in a row with hairbows to match.
This is a view of the back.  I just finished up the last one Wednesday night.
I have been working on Maisie's dress forever, with lots of interruptions.  I began the dress in April, and wanted to take it with me when Maisie was born in July.  Unfortunately I didn't meet my deadline.  Anyway, it is done now and I really love it!  I hope Rebecca will too.  It is an heirloom dress in cream, with tea dyed lace and antique rose embroidery and ribbon.  The dress next to the blessing gown is the slip.
Rebecca wanted embroidery on the yoke.  I added some pearls.
I embroidered a ribbon and rose motif around the whole fancy band between the pin tucks and each of the laces is sewn on separately.
I sewed pin tucks on the sleeve with inlaid lace, but the lace doesn't show up very much because of the gathers.  I added a deep ruffle to the sleeve to match the ruffle on the hem of the dress.

I sewed a piece of embroidered lace between pintucks on the slip.
Maisie's blessing is on November 21.  I can hardly wait!  I am smocking Maisie's bonnet right now and will have pictures of Maisie's and Reagan's bonnets when they are completed.
Now for Reagan's blessing gown.  She is due on November 17.  Jordan and Kim had specific details of how they wanted me to design Reagan's dress.  They wanted it to be different from Kennedy's, Charlotte's and Maisie's dresses.  Reagan's dress is white.  I really like how it turned out.
Shark's teeth, puffing and inlaid lace between entredeux.
This is the lace on the hem.  I splurged when buying it because I wanted some wider lace to make a statement.  I counted 9 layers of sewing in this photo, can you see them all?
I think the sleeves are very delicate.
I really love these pearl buttons, they are little flowers with leaves.  I put them on Maisie's dress too.
I sewed pintucks across the yoke on the slip.  I like the puckery look.
I really like the lace on the hem of the slip.
We don't have Reagan's blessing date yet, but can hardly wait for that too!
Tomorrow is Neo's baby shower.  Will post pictures of all the little things I made for her.   Sewing is therapy for me.  Sewing keeps me company, and makes me feel like I am needed.  I always think of my children who don't live with me, and my grandchildren, and while I sew, I think of all of them ♥

I love it We can't wait to see Reagan in her dress. Wow I am amazed you do such an amazing job. She is very lucky to have a grandmother like you. Thanks for doing that for us and for Reagan to keep forever.
