I was at the NICU with Mabulane today and got to see her hold Neo, kangaroo style. Skin to skin. The minute Mabulane held Neo, Neo, couldn't take her eyes off of her mother. It was magic, miraculous.
I stole a few kisses :)
Neo doesn't look as little as she really is....right now she weighs 2 lbs. 13 oz. One of the nurses walked by and said that Neo was a good size.....lots of babies only weigh 1 lb!!! My cousin Rachel suggested I put a ring on Neo's fingers, to show how teeny she is. We were nervous putting it on, because she keeps putting her fingers in her mouth. Mabulane put the ring on three fingers, but it could have gone around four fingers.
That is my size 7 narrow wedding band around Neo's fingers.
We spent about 4 hours with Neo, and Addison and Mabulane will spend the evening with her.
Not even 5 minutes after we left, Mabulane (and I) were thinking about and missing Neo.

The pictures are hard to tell how little she is so the references such as the ring and hand are a great idea. She is so little but adorable. She seems to be doing so well and we are so excited that she is growing and learning so quickly. Our prayers are with Addison, Mabulane and Neo.
Wow good idea about the wedding ring, that is crazy! I love the photo and video of her looking at her momma. So sweet!!
Can't believe how tiny she is! I love that video--she must recognize mabulane--she was overly excited to get here :)
OMgosh, what a wonderful experience for you guys. Neo looks amazing well for 2lbs. Love the ring picture.

I can't believe how bright she is for only being 6 days old. She is adorable , and I can't imagine how small she is with the ring fitting so many fingers. We are keeping them all in our thoughts and prayers. Love Dianne
