Kennedy and Grammy's Day Out

My day out with Kennedy was a little different than Bridger's.  We had two day outs that mostly consisted of shopping!  We went to Gardner Village together and visited one of my favorite quilt shops, Pine Needles.  Kennedy loved looking at the fabric, maybe she inherited that quality from a long line of women on the MacDonald side.  Kennedy would show me fabric that she thought was pretty and she was so adorable.  She never complained about being there too long, she was just sweet and delightful the entire time.  It wasn't like being with a 2 (almost 3) year old, it was like being with a friend who shared the same interest as me!

Then we went to Anastasia's Attic.  The lady asked Kennedy if she wanted some "fairy dust" on her cheek.  Kennedy was mesmerized by the store and got the fairy dust.  The lady told her the fairies would be able to find her.  Kennedy clutched onto me, and the lady said there were fairies all around the store.....a little creepy sounding but it was a gorgeous store! I bought some "fairy dust" for Kennedy with a little star wand.  I told her she would have sweet dreams of princesses if she put the dust on her cheek before bed every night.
Then we went to a store called "Just for Girls".  Kennedy chose the most beautiful flower garland for her head, and a heart wand to match, and a pretty purple flower ring.

Kennedy was thrilled with her purchase, especially since the sales lady gave her a beautiful pink bag to hold her treasures!
This is Kennedy, my little fairy princess.
The next shopping trip was for Kennedy's birthday gift.  We drove across town to the "Red Balloon".
I showed Kennedy all the dolls and she found the "Groovy Girls".
Notice her cute outfit, little leggins, gold sandals and that purse!!!
I think this is the doll that she wants, but wait.....does she have pretty shoes?
This doll has a beautiful princess dress, and a great bed to sleep in.  Kennedy named her "Princess and the Pea".  She knows her princess stories!
Now where to?  "Grammy, I want some ice cream."
Okay, Ice cream it is, what flavor would you like?
Yummilicious!  Strawberry Bearcake.....strawberry ice cream with rainbow sprinkles, gummy bears and marshmallows.  I think the main ingredient is "pink" although the gummy bears put it over the top!
I love you Kennedy!

Maggie Moo does serve good ice cream!
I will be counting the months until we can have another day out together, Kennedy!
