Sean's quilt top is done. I am very pleased with how it turned out. I am going to get an oatmeal color chenille for the back, then I will have it quilted.
Each one of these 8 pointed star blocks have a different rank in the center, covering all six of them! That worked out really well. I had Sean help me with the order.
It was fun "fussy cutting" the merit badge fabric. I tried to get badges that meant something to Sean.
I thought the troop numbers were fun along the top and bottom of the quilt. They added a couple of more inches in the length. The troop that meant the most to him was "1482" and I was going to incorporate that, but there were no "ones" in the strip.
That really was fast. It looks great--is that red chenille in there? I bet Sean is excited to have his own quilt. I can just see him wrapping himself up in it and laying on the bathroom floor in the fetal position... :)

Wow! I am so jealous! I would display that! You are truly gifted.
I truely love your work.
How do you write something after each picture without having to start a new post?

Love it, I am going to post the material I ordered from "Impressions from Kyoto".
