The Villages

On Saturday, Ricky and I drove to this incredible retirement community. I think there are 100,000 people who live here and we only went to a small segment of what they have. It is called Sumter's Landing. The funny thing is that most people drive their golf carts around town. The town reminds me of "The Truman Show" with Jim Carrey. The golf carts are incredibly gorgeous, so I took a lot of pictures of them. They often have their names (Fred and Ethel) painted on the front of their carts. Some of them are even air conditioned. There are restaurants and shops, and live music, an incredible chocolate shop, etc.

There are lots of carp in the water and they make these little "nests" where they spawn.

This is a killer bike!

I always love magnolia trees. The scent is so aeromatic.

Every single palm tree had these beautiful honeysuckle vines growing around them. Their perfume filled the streets.

Wow, what a cute little community. I love the palm trees too. The golf carts are very decorative they must be their pride and joy. Maybe they compete with each other to have the better golf carts instead of car. That would be interesting.
