Sean engineered a free standing structure from graham crackers and royal icing.
Dad bought the lights that Sean put on the house.
Heh Sean, be careful on that ladder!
The lights look great!
Let me turn the camera light on....
Since we live in Florida, I can buy fresh flowers to decorate the front porch.
Now we need a tree. A quick trip to the tree lot in 60 degree weather and Sean picked out a fine Douglas fir.
Yes, it looks straight.
Now I will decorate the tree and scatter presents below it.
....and a cute little baby......
Let me share some of my decorations with you. This is my view from the kitchen into the family room.
Nutcrackers in the family room.
We started putting our Christmas cards and newsletters on the closet door in the kitchen,
but had to move to the fridge doors for more room! It is a nice way to enjoy looking at photos from family and friends throughout the holidays.
This is the hutch in the dining room.
I bought these Pepsi crates at the McIntosh festival.
The stockings were hung by the banister with care.....
Now it's Christmas Eve, and we have one of Santa's elves! She wasn't kidnapped or anything....she wants to be here.
Neo is wearing the same Santa outfit that her father wore, 23 Christmases ago. She thinks that is funny : )
We had our usual array of appetizers for Christmas eve, each person picked one or two of their favorites.
This is our first Christmas ever, without small children. We have always spent part of Christmas each year with Bridger and Kennedy around. We wondered what they were doing, and how they must be so excited for Santa to arrive.
We watched the Grinch movie with Jim Carrey, watched a DVD of the birth of the Savior, played Christmas tunes on some hand bells, and played Disney Monopoly. Ricky won of course!
Then Neo got sleepy as did the rest of us and we went to bed in hopes that St. Nicholas soon would be here.
Merry Christmas to all and to all a Good Night!!
