I am like an elf working in Santa's workshop, so to speak. I have so many self inflicted deadlines. Anyway, on Sunday evening, I was showing Rebecca how to move the feed dog up and down on the sewing machine. I went to put it up and it wouldn't move! I took my machine to the repairman on Monday morning and told him it was an emergency. He told me that if nothing was broken, it could be ready on Friday, but if they needed to order a part, it could be weeks.....Oh Great!! I am working on so many projects. I was asked to design a quilt for the city of South Jordan's Sesquicentennial. It took me hours of drawing and erasing, but I finally had something I was satisfied with. Material Girls donated all the fabric, and it was really fun picking out the different prints. Then I spent more hours creating kits. I asked eight dear friends and daughters to help sew the quilt blocks. Gayla Nielsen, Nanette Davis, Liz Copeland, Cindy Geilmann, Marianne Marlor, Betty Peterson, Lindsay Nielson, and Rebecca Campbell. I gave them a deadline and they were so wonderful in getting their finished blocks to me. Betty did lots of applique and Betty and Marianne embroidered some squares. Anyway..... when I get my sewing machine back tomorrow, I will begin sewing the squares together and sashing everything together. I am so excited to see the finished project! I won't post the photos until the quilt is quilted though. Today I picked up my Thanksgiving quilt from Cindy Paulson, who does a beautiful job machine quilting my quilts. I will attach the binding tomorrow and post the photos on Friday.
I have a little bag I'm sewing for Bridger and Kennedy, and a dress and stuffed animal for Kennedy. I think I have sewing projects lined up to make for Kennedy for the next FIVE years!!! It is a lot of fun making things for girls. You have to be a little more imaginative to think of what to make for boys. Stay tuned.....

Wow--I'm glad they were able to fix it that quickly. I can't wait to see all the finished products--and it's a good thing Kennedy loves to dress up and play with dolls!--just wait till you have 30 grandchildren...I'll still expect a dress for every holiday... :)
You are busy. I can't wait to see it all. If they can't get your machine done in time, let me know I have an extra.
Your amazing. It is such a honor to be a part of the quilt. Lucky Grandchildren!
