I took this "happy!" picture of us with Marianne's "The Journey of a Quilter" quilt in the background.
Maybe I'm going a little "quilt crazy". Oh well, quilting is one of my passions.
I really liked this quilt.
I was drawn to this one. I seem to like quilts that are scrappy and have teeny pieces. I was admiring it and then I read the plaque. It made me so sad. I pictured myself painstakingly planning out the quilt with one of my boys watching me, and secretly being so happy to be making it for them, and then......how sad.

This quilt was absolutely incredible! The fine detail in the hand embroidered letters, and the embroidered people. A woman made it to celebrate her heritage. What an incredible heirloom. I wonder who will get this quilt when she dies? The pictures don't do the quilt justice.

This is called "Light of theWorld". The detail is incredible. She used batik fabric, and the houses are done in wool.

These are my other favorite quilts by Lori Holt. "Quilts" would be great in a sewing room, and the other is called "A Woman's Work is Never Done." All of her quilts are appliqued, with lots of hand embroidery. The borders are piced.

How fun! The quilts are awesome! The picture of you and Maryann is cute too.
I went to lunch with John today, we went back to the office to get something. We went into Ricky's office, it was empty. Rick told John to move in. It was very sad. We both just sat and looked. I don't think we've ever felt this sad for a change.
