My new grandaughter's blessing dress

I finished it!  Well, almost......I still need to shadow embroider baby's initials on the back hem of the dress.
I made a slip too because the dress is quite sheer.

I learned a new technique constructing this dress.  The little triangles are called shark's teeth.  I used antique lace for the two bottom ruffles.
I still have to run antique gold silk satin ribbon through the beading on the sleeves.
Between every row of shark's teeth, there is lace insertion between two rows of entredeux.  Entredeux means "between two" in french.  To attach it, you must trim the raw edge and zig zag into each and every hole.  It's hard on the eyes, but gives a beautiful finish.
I also put lace insertion on the slip.
Lindsay might be having the baby right now, she was having strong contractions 3 minutes apart at home, two hours ago.  Jeremy's dad was on his way to look after Bridger and Kennedy.  I will be there tomorrow night to take charge of my shift.  Can hardly wait!!!
